Description
These enigmatic lines in the desert vary in size from a few meters to hundreds of meters, seemingly beginning and ending without clear origin or destination. The Nazca people leveraged the unique meteorological and geological conditions of the region. The nearly complete lack of rainfall (about half an hour every two years), along with the wind and mineral-rich soil, created a thin dark crust. When this crust is removed, it reveals a lighter subsoil, producing broad lines and figures that appear as light markings against a dark background, visible only from high altitudes. To fully appreciate these lines, you should experience a small plane flight, which will allow you to view figures such as The Spider, The Monkey, The Dog, The Lizard, The Hummingbird, The Condor, and others. These large figures range in size from 15 to 300 meters and have a depth of about 30 centimeters.Includes
